Ms. Yong Sze Yee

Ms. Yong Sze Yee is a Partner at Messrs. Yong & Rajah and heads the firm's Conveyancing department in Johor Bahru, specialising in real estate law, conveyancing and banking.

She handles a wide range of real property matters, including sales and acquisitions of residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial properties for both local and foreign corporate and individual clients. Her practice includes developer projects, sub-sale transactions in the secondary market, and end financing with various financial institutions. She also handles conventional and Islamic banking documentation, including corporate loans, refinancing, overdraft facilities and construction loans. In the corporate and commercial space, she advises on share acquisitions, takeovers, sale of business agreements and conducts legal due diligence. Notable transactions include the disposal of an industrial property in Johor for an aggregate value of approximately RM 8 million and the sale and purchase of agricultural land in Johor for approximately RM 6 million.

Ms. Yong holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Leeds (2008) and completed the Bar Vocational Course at Manchester Metropolitan University (2010), where she was awarded the Vice Chancellor International Scholarship. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2011. Prior to private practice, she volunteered as an advisor at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Leeds.
