Christina S.C. Kow

Christina S.C. Kow is a Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., specializing in Capital Markets Law. She provides strategic legal advice on foreign exchange policy, regulation of financial institutions, securities regulation (including collective investment schemes, securities borrowing and lending, and licensing of regulated activities), and derivatives regulation.

Christina has extensive documentation experience in banking and financing transactions, including project financing, treasury products, debt capital market offerings, Islamic financing (both domestic and cross‑border), structured finance, and investment products. In the fintech and regtech space, she advises on structures involving cryptocurrencies, electronic payments, and electronic platforms. She is one of the partners who issue the Malaysian jurisdictional opinions to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association Inc. (ISDA), the International Capital Market Association, the International Securities Lending Association, and the Futures Industry Association respectively.

She holds an LL.B and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1986. She is a member of the Malaysian Bar and the International Bar Association, and serves as Firm Representative to ISDA.
