Pamela Kung

Pamela Kung is a Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., heading the Financial Services, Islamic Finance, and Capital Markets (Debt) practices. She specialises in banking and debt capital market transactions, including acquisition financing, project financing, structured lending, corporate bonds, Sukuk issuances, and corporate debt restructuring.

Pamela has acted for lead arrangers, joint lead managers, lenders, issuers, and borrowers on numerous high-value transactions. Notable matters include advising on an RM4.5 billion Islamic medium term notes programme for an independent power producer, acting as Malaysian counsel for an Asian Development Bank trust fund on an ASEAN green bonds issuance of RM150 million, and advising on the world's first greenfield mini-hydro green SRI Sukuk of RM470 million. She also acted on a SGD1.22 billion green loan facility—one of Singapore's largest green loans to date—and on financing for a large-scale mixed-use waterfront development in Penang with facilities exceeding RM1.6 billion.

She holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Leicester and a Certificate in Legal Practice. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1995. Pamela is a member of the Malaysian Bar and the International Bar Association, and served as Asia Regional Director of the World Law Group from 2020 to 2022.

She is fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese, and also advises on private wealth, succession planning, trusts, and foundation structures.
