Dzuhairi Jaafar Thani

Dzuhairi Jaafar Thani is a Partner at Rahmat Lim & Partners, specialising in the development and construction of industrial and commercial buildings, including data centres, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, oil and gas infrastructure, and railway and highway infrastructure.

He advises on engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contracts for projects including refinery and petrochemical plants and other oil and gas facilities, and also advises on the procurement of energy, including renewable energy, for the operation of data centres and semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Notable matters include advising global data centre owners and operators on the development of hyperscale data centres and data centre campuses, with aggregate power load under executed electricity supply agreements exceeding 1.5GW; advising a national petroleum company on EPC contracts for refinery and petrochemical plants and a deepwater petroleum terminal; advising a major US technology company on the development and construction of a Centre of Excellence in Penang with an initial project cost of RM1.5 billion; and advising a railway concessionaire on its concession agreement with the Government of Malaysia and related operational matters.

Dzuhairi holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Nottingham. He was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of England & Wales (Middle Temple, 1996) and as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1998.
