Alexius Lee

Alexius Lee is a Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., specialising in dispute resolution, construction and engineering law, and arbitration and mediation. He advises clients on building and construction law in litigation, arbitration (domestic, international, institutional and ad-hoc), adjudication (contractual and statutory), and mediation.

Alexius has represented contractors, developers, sub‑contractors, suppliers, and specialist consultants in high‑value disputes, including arbitration proceedings for the Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu road and rail bridge project (claims of around RM113 million), the Electrified Double Track Project, the Terengganu Gas Terminal Project, the Rapid Steam Cracker Complex Project in Pengerang (RM250 million), and housing and mixed development projects in Penang and Selangor. He has also acted for Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, Sime Darby Group, Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd, and a foreign Government in disputes involving power purchase agreements, production sharing contracts, and professional negligence claims. He also advises on drafting and negotiating building, engineering, and development agreements, including PAM, PWD, FIDIC, and IEM forms.

Alexius holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Sheffield and is a Barrister-at-Law of The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn. He was called to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2003 and is also admitted to England and Wales. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), an Arbitrator and Adjudicator empanelled with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), and a member of the International Bar Association and the Society of Construction Law (KL & Selangor).
