Eilene Teh

Eilene Teh is a Partner at Rahmat Lim & Partners, practicing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, strategic investments, divestitures, restructurings, and general corporate law. She advises strategic clients and financial sponsors on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including competitive sale processes and multi-stage transactions.

Her practice extends across multiple sectors, including financial services, retail trade, food and beverage, healthcare, education, manufacturing, technology, and energy. Notable matters include advising AXA Asia and Affin Bank Berhad on their disposal of a controlling stake in AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad and AXA Affin Life Insurance Berhad to Generali Asia NV, and advising Affin Bank Berhad on the subsequent merger of general insurance businesses (which won the "M&A Deal of the Year" at the ALB Malaysia Law Awards 2022); and advising the Charoen Pokphand Group on its acquisition of Tesco's businesses in Thailand and Malaysia, which won "M&A Deal of the Year" at the ALB Malaysia Law Awards 2021.

Eilene holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Hull. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2014 and is also a Barrister-at-Law of England & Wales (Lincoln's Inn, 2013). She joined the firm as a pupil in 2013 and was seconded to the Hong Kong office of a magic circle law firm in 2018.
