Jyeshta Mahendran

Jyeshta Mahendran is a Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., specializing in Intellectual Property Law. She is a qualified Patent, Trademark, and Industrial Design Agent, and advises on transactional, prosecution, advisory, and regulatory IP matters, including IP-related agreements, trademark prosecution, oppositions, rectification, copyright, patent prosecution, industrial designs, consumer protection, advertising, franchising, and domain name disputes.

Jyeshta has played a key role in major corporate acquisitions, including DKSH Holdings (Malaysia) Berhad's acquisition of Auric Pacific, handling due diligence and IP advisory for numerous brands. She manages the local and foreign IP portfolios of leading organisations such as IHH Healthcare Berhad, Parkway Holdings Limited, Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Nippon Paint Malaysia, Reckitt Benckiser, and Filtex Marketing. Her work also covers competition law (interaction with IP rights) and data privacy compliance under Malaysia's data protection laws. She assists with IP enforcement through government agencies and provides regulatory advice for food, drugs, health and cosmetics products.

She holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Law and Chemistry from the University of Keele, UK, and is a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln's Inn. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1997 and is also admitted in England & Wales (1995). She is a registered Patent, Trademark, and Industrial Design Agent.
