Jamie Goh

Jamie Goh is a Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., specializing in Employment Law. She provides legal counsel on employment and workplace issues from pre‑employment through to managing exits, including employment litigation, disciplinary action procedures, performance management, negotiated terminations, sexual harassment claims, global policies, data protection, employee transfers, reorganisations, restructuring, occupational health and safety, and union recognition. She also conducts labour due diligence and advises employers across sectors including banking and finance, airlines, oil and gas, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, and technology.

Jamie regularly appears as co‑counsel in all tiers of the Malaysian Courts for employment‑related trials, hearings, and appeals. Notable matters include acting for a national airline in a landmark Federal Court case which developed the test for dismissal for participation in trade union activities; acting for a purpose‑built data centre at the Federal Court on the issue of whether foreign nationals could be deemed as permanent employees; acting for a bank at the Court of Appeal which re‑affirmed the high standard expected of bank employees; acting for a provider of leisure and hospitality services at the Court of Appeal on jurisdictional issues regarding union recognition; and acting for a manufacturing company at the Court of Appeal on mutual separation packages.

Jamie holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Liverpool and a Certificate in Legal Practice. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2013 and is a member of the Malaysian Bar.
