Dennis Heng Kai Khong

Dennis Heng Kai Khong is a Partner at Zain & Co., practicing in the Dispute Resolution department. He is primarily involved in general litigation matters, with particular expertise in disputes of a technical nature, such as construction and engineering disputes.

Dennis has acted for a concessionaire company that designed, constructed and operates the longest bridge in Southeast Asia in defending a claim for negligent design, construction and maintenance; represented a system integration and IT support services firm in a breach of confidentiality dispute involving injunctive relief; successfully contested an application for leave to enforce a judgment from the Sessions Court to the Court of Appeal; argued and set aside a judgment in default entered against an Indonesian citizen in the High Court of Malaya, involving issues of service out of jurisdiction; advised a paper products manufacturing company in resisting a claim arising from cybersecurity breaches and fraudulent payment instructions; and advised on a dispute involving an agreement to market and set up training facilities utilizing electrical muscle stimulation training enhancement devices.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London (2007) and previously studied Electrical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he was awarded the ASEAN Pre-University Scholarship and ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2009 and is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
