Ho Guang Yi

Ho Guang Yi is a Partner at Rahmat Lim & Partners, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. She advises on public and private M&A (both domestic and cross‑border), joint ventures, private equity, venture capital, and foreign investments across a broad spectrum of industries, including manufacturing, retail and consumer, financial services, healthcare, technology, and e‑commerce.

Guang Yi has represented corporate clients, venture capital investors, and private equity funds on numerous significant transactions, including advising Universal Robina Corporation on its RM1.925 billion acquisition of Munchy Food Industries Sdn. Bhd.; advising Malayan Cement Berhad on its RM5.158 billion acquisition of equity interests in cement and ready‑mixed concrete businesses from YTL Cement Berhad; and advising ANZ Group as local counsel on the sale of its shares in AMMB Holdings Berhad (AmBank).

She holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016. She was also admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Court of England and Wales in 2023.

Guang Yi is ranked as a Rising Star Partner for Corporate and M&A by IFLR1000. She was seconded to Allen & Gledhill LLP from 2019 to 2020, where she acted for venture capital investors and companies in funding rounds.
