Joycelyn Ang

Joycelyn Ang is a Partner at Rahmat Lim & Partners, focusing on real estate and property law, including the acquisition and disposal of various types of real property, leases and tenancies, property joint ventures, property development projects, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and mergers and acquisitions of property-related companies.

Notable transactions include advising SIPP Power Sdn Bhd on its acquisition of 664 hectares of land in Kulai, Johor for RM428.8 million; advising on the establishment of IGB Commercial REIT and its initial public offering and listing on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad; advising Semangkuk 2 Berhad on its acquisition of an industrial property via an asset-backed securitisation programme for a total consideration of RM826 million; and advising various data centre owners and operators on the acquisition and development of data centres in Peninsular Malaysia.

Joycelyn holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Malaya and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2007.

She is ranked Band 3 in Real Estate by Chambers Asia Pacific, where clients describe her as "pragmatic and knows what she is doing", a "strong negotiator who understands clients' needs thoroughly", and "a strong partner to have on your side when working on real estate transactions in Malaysia".
