She has also acted for a statutory body on the sub‑leasing of a ten‑storey commercial complex, and for the disposal of office buildings in Kuala Lumpur valued at RM141 million and RM92 million.

Mariza holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Sheffield (1993). She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1994, admitted as a Barrister‑at‑Law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, and called to the Malaysian Bar in 1995.
