Michelle Wong Min Er

Michelle Wong Min Er is a Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., specialising in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, restructuring and insolvency, and private client and family business. She has represented multinational corporations, listed companies, statutory bodies, and private equity funds in cross-border and domestic M&A, joint ventures, foreign investments, equity capital markets, securities offerings (including IPOs), and corporate restructurings across industries including aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, banking, insurance, utilities, and port and highway concessions.

Michelle played a key role in the restructuring of the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), advising on Malaysian law liabilities constituting RM12 billion out of RM16 billion being restructured overall, and providing Malaysian law support for the English scheme of arrangement. She also acted for the administrator of Malaysian Airline System Berhad (MAS) and MASKargo from 2015 to 2020. She has advised United Technologies Corporation (now Raytheon Technologies) on the separation of its aerospace, elevator, and HVAC businesses; Moody's Corporation on its acquisition of a minority stake in Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC); and KUB Malaysia Berhad on the disposal of its 40% stake in KUB-Berjaya Enviro Sdn Bhd.

Michelle holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London, completed the Certificate in Legal Practice, and was called to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2006. She is a member of the Malaysian Bar and the International Bar Association.
